Advice needeed: how to restore the lining of a vintage chanel bag

Hello fans of Chanel,
I have this Chanel bag, which needs major work on the completely crumbling lining. Is it possible to imagine a restoration with dye to repair this leather lining? Or do you think the entire lining should be replaced (because it's the only thing to do) ? Thanks for your advice!
