    Default Levis belt

If someone during covid lockdown which began in early 2020 used cold tap water with laundry detergent or liquid dishwashing liquid and everyday dipped a levis genuine leather belt in either one of these solutions for 10 seconds or less, what would eventually happen to the belt cosmetically? Would the belt eventually begin to crack after a year or two of repeatedly doing this? After dipping in solution they would just rinse off with cold water and line dry under shade... can a leather expert or guru please tell me what would or might happen after a while?

Yes, quite 100% certain, please show a picture to know your leather type.

Show the brand of the laundry detergent and the dishwashing liquid use.

Now that you have seen the damaged belt and the new belt which is a different belt, do you think that the damaged belt can be repaired cosmetically like lets say 98% so it looks almost new??

You have seen the new levis belt and the damaged one. Can the damaged one be repaired cosmetically like at least 98% so it can look almost new or similar to new??

Yes, we can do what is necessary to make it almost like new, but it is no longer a veg-tanned finished leather.

What finished type do you expect after repair and refinishing?

Show us an example, and we can go from there. . . .

After restoration, it will not be back to normal.

It is not possible for a Naked Unfinished Vegetable-Tanned Leather.

The best case scenario is to test it out yourself . . . and evaluate it.

That involves Color Matching, Repairs, and Refinishing.

The best leather people stand behind their leather creations from both sides of the 'pool' (the Atlantic Ocean).

We can start with Levi Strauss from the US and Gabrielle Chanel from Europe.

You may add their names accordingly to your list of best leather people.

But between the u.s. and europe, who is better??
