    Default Which Aniline kit would you suggest?

    This is a 20 year old sofa with a wax coat that is gone from areas of the seat, back and armrest. It has some fading, a few stains and scratches from cats. It feels dry and a little less pliable. I have mistakenly (mis)treated the leather over the years with cheap body lotion containing primarily glycerol and various oils. It is not sticky. Here are some photos. Also, I’m new to this and am wondering how long it would take to renew/refinish my sofa. Thank you for your time!

    >>> This is a 20 year old sofa with a wax coat that is gone from areas of the seat, back and armrest.

    To refinish the wax coating, you need Aniline Top 21W

    >>> It has some fading,

    The dryness of its original fatliquor (fat and oil) causes the leather to appear faded. This is the first step towards improvement of fading, top coat application with Aniline Top 21 W also contributes to the color intensity. A decision is made after these 2 recommendations to decide if you need a redying with a matching color using Aniline 76.

    >>> a few stains

    Stains are removed accordingly - let me know what stain you are removing.

    >>> and scratches from cats.

    If the scratch surface becomes abraded or rough then Adhesor 73 will build back the skin (Need to test for satisfactory darkening effect). If it has a flap that sticks out, Bond 3D is used.

    >>> It feels dry and a little less pliable.

    Need to hydrate and soften with Hydrator 3.3 and Fatliquor 5.0 system

    >>> I’m new to this and am wondering how long it would take to renew/refinish my sofa.

    My recommendation is just to do up the worst cushion to see the result, then you would know how long you need to complete the rest.

    >>> Which Aniline Kit would you suggest?

    We will need to switch the Aniline Top76 to the Aniline Top 21W topcoat for you.
