Hermes Kelly box

Hi Mr Roger, I have to clean my Hermes Kelly in box leather, color light grey.
There are some scratches and spot and the color is very delicate.
Which product I could buy and what is the best procedure?

When the color becomes very delicate, it means that the sealing top coat has worn off or deteriorated, thus without a sealing topcoat the color coat becomes delicate to be rubbed or cleaned off. The color-damaged areas have to be stripped off so that a strong foundation can be established with a new foundation sealer with Adhesor-73.


>>> What is the best procedure?

Scratches will need refinishing with a matching light grey color.
Light grey is a mixture of micro pigment White, Black, and probably Ochre for tinting.

The best practice is to secure a color matching to satisfaction before the actual preparation work. Since micro-pigment is opaque it will be good coverage over existing color by coating layers.

Of course, the leather has to be degreased, prep, and adhesion promoted prior to coloring. The stitching has to be avoided accordingly too with detailed hand brushing.

Currently, this Kit Sa7.cl lacks the coloring to be complete, until when we move back to Vancouver, Canada by the middle of this year. Additional color is needed accordingly to shade grey.
