Remember that this leather was saved from the ‘cow’, its skin turns into leather by the tanning process, so if it was recycled once, it can be recycled again. There are two levels of restoration, one is for the leather structure and the other is for the appearance. When the leather structure is restored back to its tensile strength and suppleness, then it is worth the while to continue restoring its appearance.
