    >>> apart from the dryness and cracking shown in the pictures.

Dryness denotes or indicates the diminishing of the original fatliquor (fat and oil) tanned into the leather structure to impart suppleness. When the leather has about 14% of fatliquor in the structure or cross-section or thickness, the fat plumps the leather for fullness, and the oil lubricates smoothness when the leather is flexed. As the leather ages, and is empty of its fatliquor content, the leather loses its fullness with shrinkage and creases forms from the lack of lubricating from within the leather structure, and creases lines forms. Continue flexing with a lack of lubrication from the fatliquor oil component leads to cracking. Once the interlocking leather fibril is overstretched and torn, the creasing becomes permanent with a loss of tensile strength that leads to cracking or tearing.

The pictures show a dull residue over the transparent clear coating that may need to refresh the clarity of the leather grain with a fresh topcoat with AnilineTop-76G.

Dryness is rectified with the Leather Doctor Hydrator-3.3 > Fatliquor-5.0 > Hydrator-3.3 system, followed with ‘restorative care’ instruction found in Leather Doctor Kit-A3. However, a restoration cleaning is recommended prior to the leather rejuvenating system. The restoration cleaning with Leather Doctor Prep-4.4 > Clean-3.8 > Rinse-3.0 is an attempt to remove as much foreign residue and soiling as possible. The result will determine if you wish to refresh the topcoat too with AniineTop-76G

The cracking of the topcoat can be refinished with Leather Doctor Kit-A6.tc. Cracking of the leather structure will require a bonding repair with Leather Doctor Bond-3D.
