    Default Shrunk leather

    Hi Roger,

I’ve hydrated this mini leather bag that was warped due to sun exposure. I tried stretching it out but it returned to its warped shape. How do you advice to stretch out the leather to its original shape? Any tools to use? Also, the hydrator and fatliquor remains on the surface instead of penetrating deep into the leather. Any suggestions to improve?

Hydrator-3.3 and Fatliquor-5.0 have to be absorbed into the structure of the leather. Hydrator-3.3 is the preconditioner to open up the stick together with leather fiber before Fatliquor-5.0 can effectively hydrogen bond with the leather fiber.

Increase the size of the stitching holes with the help of a needle and let the Hydrator-3.3 goes downwards and soak sideways. When the leather is plump full with Hydrator-3.3 lightly stretch back to the original dimension. And while still keeping the leather damp with moisture, Fatliquor-5.0 is introduced repeatedly each session the water contents evaporates and leaves behind the fat and oil.
