    Default Leather Stool Seat Finish

I have redone a 100+ year old stool from my grandfather's store. It is twisted wrought iron with a cut piece of rather thick leather attached at the seat. It is not a very finished leather. I cleaned it with saddle soap and applied leather honey conditioner to it, which did revitalize the leather. Yet it is rather matte and dull, while the metal came out shiny and new. I tried using multiple layers of shoe polish and buffing it, to little effect. Would like a finished look with even a little bit of shine being fine. Any suggestions?
    Thank you!

    Are we discussing vegetable-tanned leathers?

To shine it, you will need a gloss topcoat like AnilineTop-76G.

You may have to strip off all the shoe polish with Stripper-2.3, otherwise, the topcoat will not adhere to the leather.

And if you wish to prevent the leather from cracking you may want to hydrate it with Hydrator-3.3 and rejuvenate it with Fatliquor-5.0

This is how you post pictures.
