Default Katz aniline Loveseat and chair

These are two really nice aniline pieces that had extreme oil issues. Working on getting rid of the oils currently. What would you recommend to use for dye? Aniline 21 or aniline 76? Its a dark grey color. Could we just use black aniline 76 and clear aniline to get the desired tone? Or do I have to order a custom color matcName: 20180226_094206.jpg

    >>> What would you recommend to use for dye? Aniline-21 or Aniline-76?

You may used both, but ultimately you will need a “coating” dyestuff with Aniline-76 instead of a “staining” dyestuff Aniline-21. If both are to be used, even out the color difference as much as possible with Aniline-21 and Aniline-76 the final touch up. Surfactant-3.6 is used prior to Aniline-21 to check for surface tension or blotchiness with an even appearance without blotchiness to ensure even Aniline-21 staining or absorption. Any surface excess is rub away. Aniline-21 is a below surface dyestuff and Aniline-76 is a surface dyestuff.

    >>> It’s a dark grey color. Could we just use black aniline 76 and clear aniline to get the desired tone?

Dark grey can be achieve with Black and Clear - maybe black and clear ratio 6: 4, 7: 3, 8: 2 or 9: 1 test it out for satisfaction.

    >>> Or do I have to order a custom color match?

You may, will need a color sample as usual.
