    Default Louis Vuitton Vintage Golf Bag!

    I’ve recently acquired a Louis Vuitton Vintage Golf Bag, which I’m hoping is authentic.
    It is certainly old and in need of repairs (if appropriate), but I could really use some assistance determining whether it’s authentic.
    I’ve been spending a considerable amount of time on your website researching your automotive leather products and your knowledge base, so you immediately came to mind when I acquired this bag.
    I know you do a considerable amount of work restoring valuable leather products, so I’m hoping you might give me some insight into the authenticity of this golf bag, and whether or not it should be restored or sold as is.
    I’ve attached a number of pictures for you to look at, if you have the time to do so.
    I know you’re very much in demand, so any assistance would be appreciated.

    >>> I’m hoping is authentic.

    I am looking at the material used; especially the Vachetta leather is genuine, stitching very professional, hardware good condition perhaps two naps that has tarnish which is also common to LV. The monogram looks genuine as well. Any manufacturer that has this quality of workmanship would be better off having its own brand then to copy another, makes no business sense and more over if these are copies, you would also find plenty of them otherwise there is no economic of scale. You do not think so its authentic?

    >>> and whether or not it should be restored.

    Depending what you mean by restoring?
    What I see is that the browning discoloration and darkening effect can be lighten up if you wish for a more even appearance. The leather structure could also be softened or rejuvenated restoring back the original fatliquor (fat and oil) that has diminished from cracking. A protector also restores some of scuffing. The fabric zip component clean up together with the synthetic leather and give it a buttery-feel with a classic leather-scent that will bring this bag some youthful life then as it is.
