    Default Hancock & Moore - Rejuvenating Leather Sofa

    I have a dark burgundy leather sofa.
    The arms and piping on the cushions have spots where the color has worn.
    What products and procedures would you recommend to restore the color to those areas?
    Also, what would you recommend for a general cleaning and conditioning?
    Thank you in advance for your help.

    >>> Also, what would you recommend for a general cleaning

    A holistic cleaning system includes levels of cleaning, follows with both structural and surface conditioning and they are “routine care”, “periodic care” and “restorative care” all depends on the soiling level, so as not to under clean or over clean it. There are found in this recommended care kit - Leather Doctor Kit-A3 (for surface damaged micro pigment finish, otherwise Kit-Sa7 with Prep-7.7 for restorative cleaning has greater cleaning strength then Prep-4.4)

    Reason is that the micro pigment coating is damaged as shown in picture #6 & #7. The aniline dyed is thus exposed, thus Prep-4.4 is used instead of Prep-7.7. If Prep-7.7 is used, then Acidifier-2.0 will need to be used as rinse to bring the exposed suede to its neutral pH value of between 3 and 5. Note the product name suffix denotes its pH value. Leather is pH sensitive, besides heat.

    >>> and conditioning?

    Products for structural conditioning and surface conditioning differs.Conditioning the leather structure will both fresh up the faded surface coloring and suppleness at the same time using Hydrator-3.3 > Fatliquor-5.0 > Hydrator-3.3 system.
    Conditioning the surface is using Protector-B/B+ to impart rub-resistance, non-stick feature and a buttery feel with an optional leather-scent. Conditioning both the structure and the finishes follows after a matched cleaning system.

    >>> The arms and piping on the cushions have spots where the color has worn.

    In the leather rejuvenating system for the leather structure with Hydrator-3.3 > Fatliquor-5.0 > Hydrator-3.3 system. Hydrator-3.3 when fully saturated the thickness of the leather and wet out to the suede side, it will activate the dormant dyestuff and redistribute to the surface. Follows with Fatliquor-5.0 when dry, I believe when done thoroughly, the color difference at a distance will not be noticeable. This leather rejuvenating bring health to the leather from dry rotting, otherwise these dry rotting fibers easily separates with poor color finishes adhesion.

    You will need about 3 colors to custom match from these examples:

    Otherwise you send a sample to have it matched.

    Note:
    Worn to picture #7 is greatly reduced with routine rub-resistant Protector-B/B+.

    Further questions are welcome.
