Hello,

I have a pair of chesterfield sofas from Restoration Hardware that I had repaired locally after my puppy destroyed a section of each in a 2 hour period! The repairs were done very well, replacing a portion of leather on each. I was pre-warned that they can't get the same waxed leather, but they would die their leather to match. It does match, but doesn't have the stiff feel and cracked surface with color variation.

They held up every part of their bargain, but I can't help but wish the leather matched better in texture and look aside from the base color. Is it possible to wax these new sections of leather on the sofas to better blend into the rest?

As well, what are the best maintenance procedures for the waxed leather? RH calls ours "vintage cigar" if that helps at all...

Thank you!
