    Default Shearling Jacket – wool dry around the collar area, feels like sun damage?

    Hi Roger I have a shearling jacket and the inside is very dry to the touch would a shampoo wash help with this or is a hydrator the ONLY option, cost is an issue as I will spend if I must but would prefer the most cost effective result.
    Your time in response is greatly appreciated. Kevin (UK) Oxford
    Yes its the inside woolen material that is dry not the outside part, and its mainly only dry around the collar area, feels like sun damage? Here’s the pictures attached.

    what's your thoughts on the dry inside woollen collar/lapel of this jacket? would a wash with specialist shampoo give in a satisfactory result? or would it not effect the dryness of the fabric? Many thanks for your advice Roger.

    >>> No, no products used

    Recommend that you used the wool-safe cleaning system from this shearling care cleaning Kit-Ss3 as the first attempt. If the cause is some grease build-up then DegreaserWool-5.6 may be needed follows with RinseWool-4.0 follows with Protector-S.

    Wool Face Cleaning and Conditioning:

    Sequence-W1: A) Dry Soil Removal:
    Instruction: A1) Vacuum off foreign soiling with help of suede Brush-3.

    Sequence-W2: B) Wet Soil Removal:
    Instruction: B1) Spray CleanWool-5.5, brush at an angle in one direction and towel extract until it shows clean. B2) Spray RinseWool-4.0 and towel extract to a squeaky clean. B3) Let natural drying and dry towel wipe of wick-up soiling.

    Sequence-W3: C) Non-Stick, Rub-Resistant Protection:
    Instruction: C1) Shake well, mist spray Protector-S evenly and brush-in with towel to pick up soiling at the same time. C2) When dry thereafter, groom with suede Brush-3 or a slick comb for best appearance and it is ready for use.

    Products mentioned are found in this Kit-Ss3
