Default Felt Backed Zebra hide needs major conditioning

I just received my felt backed zebra hide and it really needs conditioning to smooth out.
I will not use as a floor rug, but as a cover for a couch.,0,0&format=0

Can I used the two products as described on your site and not compromise the felt back?

Hydrator-3.3 > Fatliquor-5.0 system will soften the hide.

Smooth out is another issue; you have to check the hide of any stitches that is given that ripple effect.

System products have to be applied from the hair side in order “not to compromise the felt back”.

Felt backing is best to go for the long-term shake of the hide.

Most of the issues are related to the felt backing.

You need to know the actual condition of the backing.

Of course besides the stitches you may be surprise to see detrimental contact cement used as well
