Miu Miu handbag - darkening of the handles and the grain has lifted up; dye transfer on the sides and the surface is scuffed in places

I have a Miu Miu handbag – photo attached.
It is a very light tan and there is significant darkening of the handles and the grain has lifted up, making the handle rough to the touch.

Darkening of the Handles:
This darkening is due to a combination of body oil, grease and sweat with general soiling from hands that is rubbed onto the leather.
This is aniline leather, so stains are penetrated.

Overall the color is uneven because it has had numerous polishes and cleaning products applied.

Age old polishes need to stripped and cleaning products if alkaline will yellows the leather as well that need to be pH neutralized.

I’m not sure what type of leather it is – it’s got a pebbled finish

This picture shows the typical pebbled grain done by “boarding” process unlike the cheaper version done by embossing (stiffer due to print compression).

and when I scratch the surface, it reveals a much lighter color underneath.

This picture shows a typical “Topcoat” damages (Aniline topcoat comes in waxy-matte, natural or gloss); most probably it’s the gloss, as it amplifies and enhances the color and the beauty of the grain as well.

It has some dye transfer on the sides and the surface is scuffed in places.

Dye transfer commonly occurs when rubs against blue jeans.

I have previously tried to clean it with Grison leather cleaner which darkened the leather and did little to clean it.

All products use for absorbent leather has to be on the acidic side (pH 3-5); higher pH cleaners will darkens the leather.

I want to restore it to its original color.

Damages to the handle are not possible to returns to the original color; even though all contamination are degreased or removed.
Unless a darker transparent aniline dyeing is considered.

Possibly we are looking at this kit A6.w with add-ons such as Stripper-2.3
