We have a blood stain from Dec 24th on our NUBUCK leather couch.
I am interested in ordering the kit in the subject line.
Please contact me as soon as possible so I can get this ordered.
I am concerned about the staining and discoloration that may appear once it is cleaned.

Once it is leather-safe clean, the staining and discoloration should not reappear.
Blood when dries tends to coagulate due to its protein contents. It also has the iron that will result in a rusty color.
d’Protein-10 is specially design to removed the blood stain and the iron rusty content is taken care by a tarnish remover d’Tarnish-1.3.
Penetrated suspended stain is further hydrated to wick it out by using Hydrator-3.3. This is the stage where the stain is monitored during wet to be towel extracted. And wicking up suspended soiling trapped by tissue paper and towel. The remaining surface residue is then erase with Eraser-4, renewing the nap at the same time for the characteristic finger writing effect.
Finally the leather is protected with a non-stick and rub-resistant protection with Protector-S+ imparting a silky feel.

Leather Doctor® Nubuck Leather Blood Stain Removal Kit N3.bs - features 2 specialty products; the d’Protein-10.0 with a pH value of 10.0 and d’Tarnish-1.3 with a pH value of 1.3. Using these extremities of pH values, from high alkalinity to low acidity is essential for its removing and neutralizing capabilities. Old blood stains do coagulate tenaciously with the leather protein fibers. Dried blood stains may range from tan to dark brown with an outer ring. Dried deposits should be gently Brush-2/Eraser-4, thereafter d’Protein-10.0 is applied with gentle agitation until it starts to dissolve and run. The suspended stain is towel extract and repeat application with agitation until it’s satisfactorily removed. Instructions
1st phase - Protein Stain Removal:
1] Dried and caked stain should be gently agitated with Brush-2/Eraser-4 to break it up.
2] d’Protein-10.0 is directly applied to the stain and brush/erase to cause the stain to begin loosening and start running.
3] Suspended stain is towel extracted with repeat application, agitation and extraction until the stain is removed.
2nd phase - Iron Stain Bleaching and pH Neutralizing:
1] d’Tarnish-1.3 follows as a 2-in-1 application both neutralizing the alkalinity and bleaching any traces of iron component from the blood stain.
2] Warm up and shake well until solid is dissolved, apply direct and towel extract until it shows clean.
3] Reapply and let it dwell until natural dry, powdery residue if any is to be brush/erase follows with Rinse-3.0 and towel extract dry for a visual inspection.
3rd phase – Stain Removal Hydrating:
Hydrating follows after surface rinsing is a continuous process to remove suspended soiling from within the leather structure, besides its others potential multifold benefits. A thorough hydrating process is necessary to allows sufficient water movement within the leather structure to wick suspended soiling to the surface to be towel extracted when damp and erased when crispy dry. Sufficient dwell time helps reactivating the dormant dyestuff to redistribute and resurface thus reduces inevitable color lost through stain removal. Sufficient hydrating and dwelling relaxes stiffness, reduces unnatural creases and wrinkles; separating the crushed, stick together fibrils and relaxes them in the inter-fibrillary leather structure for effective fatliquor distribution. Effective hydrating helps charging the leather protein fibers below its iso-electric point positive to hydrogen-bond with the ionic negative charged fatliquor. It also helps reduce or eliminate blotchiness when dry and facilitate better color penetration with uniformity during optional re-dyeing. Advance technique uses plastic cling wrapper to control evaporation for an overnight dwell and using absorbent tissue paper as an extension of the surface to catch the soiling particulates as they wicks through.
1] Spray Hydrator-3.3, with foam brush control to hydrate the entire thickness of the leather; extract with dry absorbent white terry towel to inspect for an even appearance without blotchiness and it’s ready for immediate fatliquoring.
4th phase - Restorative Fatliquor Replenishing:
Stain removal will inevitably remove one of the essential leather fatliquor constituent as well. Without replenishing displaced and lost of the original fatliquor will lead to leather stiffness with coarse breaks or creases and wrinkles, and when flexed may lead to premature crack. With diminished fatliquor the leather tends to lose its color intensity and becomes more susceptible to liquid stain. Leather when wet and then dry again, have the tendency for the fibrils to becomes stick together – known as the Van der Waals or London force phenomenon. Fatliquor, the lifeblood of leathers penetrates and lubricates the leather fibers so that after drying, they are capable of sliding over one another smoothly. Besides softening the leather with stretchability, compressibility and flexibility; fatliquor enhances its rip tensile strength greatly.
It relaxes coarse breaks, creases and wrinkles to provide drapes, suppleness and prevents cracking. It helps to keep leather at its optimum physical performance and prevent premature ageing.
1] Spray Fatliquor-5.0, with foam brush control for an even appearance.
2] Repeat application in between drying as the water contents evaporates until it’s saturated.
3] The fully saturated leather is left for slow natural drying for extra softness.
4] Use Eraser-4 to remove wicks up residue and inspect for visual satisfaction.
5th phase - Non-Stick Rub-Resistant Protection:
Stain removal will remove any breathable protection from the leather if any. Continuous presence of this non-film forming, rub-resistant protection is essential to shield the detrimental effects of sticky soiling including the common blue jeans stain and the nasty ballpoint ink; and making such removal so much easier. Its natural silky-feel protection increases the leather resistance to wet and dry rubs, with the unforgettable classical leather scent. Odorless protector is available as Protection-S.
1] Shake very well, mist spray Protection-S+ evenly and brush-in with Brush-2; when dry thereafter groom again with Brush-2 for a silky finger writing effect and it’s ready for use.
