The stains on the sides of the purse came from cleaning the interior of the bag with a damp sponge. The streaks on the front of the bag happened when Meltonian leather conditioner was applied. Any hope for fixing this?

Yes!

These two problems can be combined into an continuous wet process both to remove the streaks and also solving the marking from a damp sponge.

The sequence of process is as follows: Prep-4.4 > Cleaner-3.8 > Rinse-3.0 > Hydrator-3.3 > Fatliquor-5.0 > Protection-D+

The streaks form the leather unwanted leather conditioner is to be stripped with Prep-4.4. Dwelling time is essential for the product to react with the streaks and for an even appearance it is recommended to feather out to the entire bag. Thereafter sticky residue is removed using Cleaner-3.8 follows with Rinse-3.0.

While the leather takes a darkening effect from the cleaning, it is further hydrated to move the stains to the surface to be extracted. Hydrating helps to further redistribute the stain for an even appearance and it is to be work with hydrating until the stains disappear.

Fatliquor-5.0 has nothing to do with the stains or streaks removal, but will saturate the leather with charged fat and oil that will reduce absorption resulting in less streaks and stains, when similar situation occurs.

Protection-D+ impart a draggy feel, non-stick, rub-resistant surface with natural water shower proofing, the first barrier of soiling and staining defense.

Would you like to know more about the products or which kit to fix this problem?

Thanks Roger! I recently ordered the Prep 4-4 from you and I already have the rest of the stuff so I'm good to go.
