Hi Roger, Mate is it possible to rejuvinate leather if it is hard and starting to crack? Ive noticed you have got these fat liquor products, If so, does it take long to get the leather back to where it was? uno, soft . Or is this simply not posible. Its very common in BMW's where the customer hasn't looked after it and the sun has just punished it for years, Ive just told the customer its impossible to bring the leather back when it has got to this stage and advised them it would be better to replace it. Can you shed some light on this mate?
Cheers

Yes! As long as Hydrator-3.3 can penetrate through the finishes (colorcoat and topcoat) through its micro cracks; to relax and separate the stick together fibrils; Fatliquor-5.0 will soften it as soft as you wish; see this video on Fatliquor - http://videos.howstuffworks.com/discovery/28309-dirty-jobs-fat-liquor-video.htm

Since most auto seats are pigment coated; it’s only possible to reach the leather structure layer through micro-cracks, perforated panels, and weak construction needle holes and seams; and also through those worn coating areas. Technique to achieve even penetration is though overnight dwelling, with covered tissue paper and cling wrapper to prevent evaporation.

To rejuvenate for softness, suppleness and strength, Hydrator-3.3 and Fatliquor-5.0 have to penetrate into the leather-structure layers. When the moisture content can be maintained at 14% throughout its useful life as originated from the tannery, it will keep the leather perpectually soft and strong without cracking. However, this is not so as Fatliquor do dries up as VOC (volatile organic compound); just like our car engine need to be top-up periodically.

The leather-finish when it’s stripped of its accumulated soiling; pile-on by micron layers of aged and deteriorated conditioners or protectors do make a significant softness to the overall seat, very surprisingly as expressed by those that have done it knowingly or unknowingly; to what really happens behind this phenomenal of effective safely stripping to the OEM finish.
