The main product to use is Degreaser-2.2 follows with Rinse-3.0 and lots of extraction.

It is also recommended that the stain area is hydrated and fatliquored thereafter while it is still damp to prevent stiffen-up the leather when dry for inspection.

Only with satisfaction that it is then repeated to the entire cushion:
Degreaser-2.2 > Rinse-3.0 > Hydrator-3.3 > Fatliquor-5.0.

It is wiser to do it from the reverse side.

Can we see some pictures of the other side if the stain is through?

I believe it will lead to color refinishing...

Unable to see the reverse side. This after Degreaser 2.2, clean, rinse, hyrator & fatliquor. I am only getting color on the towel not soil.

The extracting and wicking of the pentrated contamination area need to be repeated until an even appearance is achieved.

This even appearance should be lighter in color than the existing non contaminated areas.

The next phase is to strip the existing surrounding coloring (entire chair) with Stripper-2.3 to blend with the clean area in appearance.

Thereafter the entire leather is refinish as one.

This is after Degreaser 2.2, recleaning, rinsing, hydrating & fatliqour. Used stripper as well. Used the razor also. Still looks the same.

These soiling lines show that these foreign contaminations are in fugitive mood; only without sufficient soaking to effectively move them off the leather surface. An effective hydrating with extraction while wet will show how a white towel turns color; a continue “tsunami” of Hydrator-3.3 with consecutive waves of extraction will exhaust these stains out – is the answer.

We've been soaking with hydrator - extracting and massaging with wterry towels for over a week, the dark stains still remain and don't appear any lighter but now there are dark rings around the entire problem area and a distinct dark run down the middle of the back cushion that are now permanent.
What next?

After applying impregnator with 10% aniline dye, area in middle that was lighter is now darker again, and rings is more pronounced.

Ring on back side of cushion where the leaether was perfect before we did anything.

Dark area like a run down middle of back cushion, seems like it soaked up hydrator and fatliquor, we cannot get it to lighten up

Have you tried stretching the stain area if it lightens up?

Otherwise, it may be beyond just soiling from oil, grease and sweat.

Then, the stain can be further bleached with d’Tannin-3.5 or with d’Tarnish-1.3; depending on the nature of the stain.

To determine which products work better, a test is recommended by test dropping a drop of each product at different selected location until it dries for further inspection.

Tips:

If the dark lines transfer color with test of cotton swab - most likely is the migrating dyestuff.
Otherwise it could be the tanning agent itself that is migrating, other than the suspected soiling particulates.
If it is so from the tanning agent itself, d'Tarnish-1.3 would be more effective to reduce the color.

After applying impregnator with 10% aniline dye, area in middle that was lighter is now darker again, and rings is more pronounced.

Well, unlike opaque pigment that has the ability to block stains, transparent dye simple enhance and amplify both the beauty and ugliness impartially.
With Impregnator-26 that seals and tightens, it will make stain correction tougher.

Ring on back side of cushion where the leaether was perfect before we did anything.

Like a shore line, different tide level produces different line of debris where the water is not entirely clean.
In this case other than foreign contamination, it could include fugitive tanning agent that breaks the hydrogen-bond from alkaline over exposure that often manifest itself as dark stain.

Dark area like a run down middle of back cushion, seems like it soaked up hydrator and fatliquor, we cannot get it to lighten up

Try stretching if it lightens up, otherwise test with d’Tannin-3.5 and d’Tarnish-1.3 on different spot until dry to inspect their response.

I stripped the entire back cushion. Tested with d'Tannin & d'Tarnish. Dye transfer on cotton swab. Test areas looked a little lighter after drying. Saturated with d'Tannin while stretching with a white towel. Dark areas remained after drying. Did the same steps with d'Tarnish. Dark areas remain. Do we have any other options?

Which product makes the dye transfer on cotton swab?

Is the dye transfer from the dark stain?
