Roger, I have 2 cushions that have dog scratches, the rest of the sofa is excellent. We cleaned and hydrated, fatliquored it. The bottom 2 cushions have dog scratches where the dog spin and lay down. The situation is the scratches didn't break the finish, they left grooves (like a wood floor with a caster rolling over it). I sent you the swatch today. I filled the few minor missing flaps with stucco. Those are the few light spots. I ordered 250ml of dye, but i would like to get it ready for dye.

How can I get rid of the scratches?

To reduce the grooves...you need to iron it (use a travelling iron - without the steam) over white paper (the browning effect will show you how hot you can go).

Repeat hydrating...manipulating crosswise...fatliquoring it...leave it to dry.

Then apply heat treatment by ironing it over paper again.

Tips:
Damp leather will shrink more when it's iron - less when it's dry.

Practice makes perfect!
