First post, hi :)

This chesterfield suite has lots of scratches from a cat, it is looking a bit dull and tired.

How would I go about repairing it?

The cat scratch damages is obvious; what you need is Leather Bond-3D with help of Leather Bond-7A with donor fibers from the suede side to fill up level – back to the original with natural healing scars as the bonds becomes part of leather – a homogenous micro repair!

Other observation:

Another look of this suite is the tiredness of the leather structure – over-stretched that requires hydrating with Hydrator-3.3 to shrink back; thus increase structure thickness and decrease structure dimension.

Creases and wrinkles also known as coarse breaks are a clear sign of diminishing fatliquor (fat, oil and water) – where the creases behave like hinges that leads to cracks with over flexing and uneven wear.

Picture #3 close-up suggest that the original secondary color “antiquing” has been rub off leaving only the lower in-between grains – that requires to be re-antique with Antique-27.

To refinish the primary color matching Pigment Micro-54 (Maroon) is recommended; with Adhesor-73 as the adhesion coat prior to coloring.

The recommended topcoat after Antique-27 is using Topcoat Micro-72 (satin or gloss to match original sheen).

This is a general recommendation to restore this classic chesterfield to its former glory.

We shall discuss the details in the procedure and technique to accomplish this project once you decided to go ahead.

This Semi-Aniline Leather Problem Solving Guide matches the leather types with additional of Antique-27 (black) as the secondary color for its care
