Sun Faded Ralph Lauren Writers Tufted Club Chair Tan Leather Brass Nailhead Trim

I am trying to restore a very sun-worn Ralph Lauren writer's chair.
I do not understand the difference between the two products below but will trust your advice if I need "Aniline Gloss Topcoat 76G" instead of what I ordered the Aniline 76 Clear.

What steps would you take to restore a very sun-worn leather (Ralph Lauren Writer's) chair/ottoman?

You will need Aniline Gloss Topcoat 76G to seal the Aniline Coating Dye 76.

The 'Clear' is a colorless color for lowering the color density to produce the desired color shade.

An example to achieve the original color of this Ralph Lauren may result from 2 methods.

One is by airbrushing an even light coating to achieve the result.

Any additional coating will produce a darker shade.

Another method is to reduce the color intensity with a clear so that multiple coating will only reach the predetermined color shade.

See this color shading example:

Here is an example of color and layer using a small cotton bud.

1st row is Antique-Brown color intensity increases by layer from right to left.

2nd row is Antique-Brown and Clear at a ratio of 1: 3, showing color intensity increase by layer from right to left.

Testing the color using the above example is highly recommended to predetermine the color intensity used and test out the application method on cardboard before actual application, to get the best result.

It will take 4 sequences of steps to restore a very sun-worn or faded Ralph Lauren Writer's Chair,

1: Cleaning,
2: Conditioning,
3: Dyeing, and
4: Protection.

1: Cleaning is the removal of all foreign contamination and unwanted deteriorating finishes that includes the following:
1.1: Stripper 2.3
1.2: Degreaser 2.2
1.3: Acidifier 2.0
1.4: Cleaner 3.8
1.5: Rinse 3.0

2: Conditioning is activating dormant dyestuff to resurface, relaxing the leather for an efficient fatliquoring, to restore the leather for softness and strength when dry.
2.1: Hydrator 3.3
2.2: Fatliquor 5.0

3: Dyeing is a refinishing system that includes removing deteriorating finishes and dry rotting fibers with a primer coating that promotes adhesion between the leather and the coating dye that is sealed with a top coat.
3. 1: Leather Adhesor 73
3. 2: Aniline Coating Dye 76
3. 3: Aniline Gloss Topcoat 76G

4: Protection is a non-stick rub-resistant conditioner to prolong the wear of the topcoat.
4. 1: Leather Protector B or Leather Protector B Plus

The above-mentioned step is a guide to restoring very sun-worn leather. Stripper 2.3 step can be missed in this situation.
