Question

Hi,

We have the restoration hardware in Lancaster cocoa.

We have a small scratch in the leather, not sure if it’s from a kid or a dog, but it’s peeling up.

Please see attached.

What do I need to purchase to fix this?

I also suspect my leather is a little thirsty too.

I recently used a leather condition and it looked great for about a day and it’s drying out again.

Thank you!!

To fix this peeling use leather Glue 3D found in this Leather Repair Kit A8.r

When leather is dried off its original fatliquor (fat and oil) dry-rotting begins, and the leather grain weakens and easily exfoliates, like the shedding of dead skin cells. The exterior leather grain easily peels off with the weight of the leather finishes. Hydrating and fatliquoring with the original tannery system will rejuvenate the dried leather back to tensile strength with Hydrator 3.3 and Fatliquor 5.0 system.

Restoration Hardware wax pull-up leathers use two conditioners, the primary conditioner is similar to ionic negative (-ve) charged leather Fatliquor 5.0, and the secondary condition is similar to Aniline Leather Wax Pull Up 8.6, which gives the characteristic wax pull-up effect.

My recommendation for this simple repair with a matching product is as follows:

Step 1 - Prep Cleaning with Prep 4.4
Step 2 - Clean with Cleaner 3.8
Step 3 - Rinse with Rinse 3.0
Step 4 - Hydrate with Hydrator 3.3
Step 5 - Fatliquor with Fatliquor 5.0
Step 6 - Condition with Wax Pull-up 8.6
Step 7 - Repair with Glue 3D
Step 8 - Protect with Protector D

>>> Thank you I received everything. One question before I do the repairs, I see the lamb skin is cream in color. Is there an additional stain I need to buy to match the brown of the leather?

From the pictures, if the lambskin is required for a repair from the back, it would be after the 8-step procedure from the front, but very unlikely you would need to use this lambskin for this repair.

From the picture, the color if required would either be a dark-brown or antique-brown from the Aniline 76 color range.
