Roger,
Can these chairs be restored? We have not had any luck in the past.
Can you educate me on a few things? Is Vachetta full grain, it is extremely thick? Is Vachetta vegetable tanned?

This is the worse chair-

>>> Can these chairs be restored?

Yes, they can be restored to lighten the browning discoloration.

>>> We have not had any luck in the past. Can you educate me on a few things? Is Vachetta full grain, it is extremely thick?

Yes, they are full grain, it means the surface of the grain is not corrected by buffing or sanding.

>>> Is Vachetta vegetable tanned?

Yes, Vachetta is vegetable-tanned. Vachetta is the name given to vegetable-tanned leather that remains naked and unfinished. This chair has a topcoat finish like AnilineTop-76 applied to it, so they are not called vachetta, but finished vegetable-tanned. Once the coating wear out, then what you are dealing is
Vachetta leather. To even out the blotchiness, strip off the gloss clear coating with Stripper-2.3 > Acidifier-2.0 > Hydrator-3.3 > Fatliquor-5.0 in a continuous “wet-process”. A wet-process means that during the continuous step the leather must not be allowed to be dried, otherwise when without sufficient fatliquor (fat and oil) about 15% when dry, the leather will stiffen up and mishandling will crack it easily. This vegetable-tanned leather is very thirsty of Fatliquor-5.0. Fatliquor is the lifeblood of this leather. After the final rinsing off the Fatliquor-5.0 sticky residue with Hydrator-3.3 leaves it to very slow dry. Apply Vachetta-2.8 to redox (reduction-oxidation) chemical reaction to even out the appearance. When the appearance is satisfactory, otherwise repeat. Sealing it again with AnilineTop-76G will return to match the original finishes. Rub resistant protector that matches AnilineTop-76G is Protector-B/B+.

hey roger this is pat, the only questions i have for you now are if we should pre-treat the water marks/rings with anything prior to the steps you listed. also if i should apply any type of hydrator or rinse of some sort after the redox agent dries to bring the ph back up before applying the aniline top

See the result, then decide if further treatment is necessary as a post-treatment

>>> also if i should apply any type of hydrator or rinse of some sort after the redox agent dries to bring the ph back up before applying the aniline top.
Yes, redox is only for correction of browning discoloration, and to retain the leather chemistry integrity Hydrator-3.3 > Faliquor-5.0 > Hydrator.3.3 system is still applicable.

Let's see pictures of your progress and follow accordingly as necessary.
