Thanks,
Like to see your refinishing result!
Hey roger, its pat again. just wanted to send you some pics of the arms they are a little more noticeably worn after the adhesor and doesnt have the squeeky feel like the rest of the leather. just wondering if i should apply some impregnator before going through with the dye process or if you had any other ideas

Healthy leather will have a squeaky feel.
You will need to pH balanced until it turns squeaky.
Use low pH value cleaner like ProCleaner-1.5 > Acidifier-2.0 system right into the leather structure.
You may have to strip off the Adhesor-73 with Stripper-2.3 to get into the leather grains.
It is leather dry rotting that is why it does not feel squeaky, understand?
Stripper-2.3 > Acidifier-2.0 > Hydrator-3.3 > Fatliquor-5.0 > Hydrator-3.3 > check squeakiness of leather prior to > Adhesor-7.3
pat again: so ive gone back to the acidifier hydrate and fatliquor method the arms seems to be soaking up quite a bit of moisture so your probably right about the dry rotting but the rest of the piece doesnt like to absorb moisture easily or scratch so i still believe this is a semi aniline piece but where its more worn like the arms seat and back i can agree is just aniline

By appearance, this looks more aniline because of its depth of transparency that shows the Sauvage grains through.
you definitely know more than i do about leather so ill take your word on it being a true aniline. ive tried to acidify the leather before going through with heavy hydration and applying fat liquor as it dried then hydrator again to remove the oily residue im getting little to no change on the arms should i be allowing the acidifier to dwell for a longer period? i originally saturated it with clean pro then use acidifier and a towel to extract then i go through with the basic hydrate and fat liquor methods and have been repeating the hydration steps for a few days with no success.

What are you trying to accomplished?
we established i should get the arms to a nice squeeky feel before moving onto adhesor.

The ProCleaner-1.5 > Acidifier-2.0 should help you achieve your desired result, let me know.
