Questions!

Hi Roger, We spoke on the phone today and as per your request I have attached pictures of my Tom Ford bag that needs to be cleaned.

The bag is an expensive designer bag and I want the stains on the front of the bag to be cleaned.

It appears the stain may be a colour transfer stain and maybe some of the leather has come off in some spots as well.

The back of the bag is clean and I have added a photo of the back so you can see.

The whole bag is not covered in stains it’s in certain spots.

Please let me know what you think?

>>> My expensive designer Tom Ford bag appears to have stain from a color transfer on the front.

The dye color transfer stain is removed in these sequences of steps:

1- Accumulated Soiling Removal:

1a- Prep-7.7 is applied and agitated with detailing horsehair Brush-1; is then followed with terry cotton towel
extraction until towel shows clean.

1b- Remaining soiling including ink and dye stains are again further treated with a ‘reverse transfer’ technique
allowing the Prep-7.7 to wick trough the highly absorbent Towel-5 without any airspace. Towel-5 is work with
Brush-1 until it becomes translucent without any white dry blotches.

1c- Inspect by lifting up the Towel-5 every 8 to 24hrs and up to 72hrs to see the result of the ‘reverse-transfer’ of
stains.

1d- When 72hrs is up, peel off the ‘reverse-transfer’ and remove the Prep-7.7 residue with Clean-3.8 > Rinse-3.0
system to a healthy squeaky clean and let dry.

1e- Inspect for appearance satisfaction and proceed to Protector-B/B+ to finish or repeat the entire process with
CleanDye-7.9 to remove the dye or ink specifically.

1f- Protector-B/B+ is applied to protect against ink and dye transfer.

2- Dye & Ink Stain Removal:

2a- CleanDye.7.9 is repeated through the above 1a to 1f steps and inspect for satisfaction.

3- Bleaching:

3a- Only in cases with pre-existing failed attempt with other products that may have set the stain, then Bleach-9.9 >
Acidifier-2.0 system inevitably comes to use.

Note:
Protector-B/B+ is skipped in the above sequence if color refinishing is the next option.

>>> The whole bag is not covered in stains it’s in certain spots.

Spot cleaning is not recommended only if the bag is 100% free of soiling, otherwise the spot cleaning may appears cleaner then the surrounding areas.

>>> The back of the bag is clean and I have added a photo of the back so you can see.

Recommended that the above Accumulated Soiling Removal apply to the back as well, depending on inspection satisfaction the Dye & Ink Stain Removal may also be an option.

>>> maybe some of the leather has come off in some spots as well.

Any finishes that is confirm to be damages will then be color finish accordingly, and is such cases during the sequential inspection Protector-B/B+ is skipped to the last step of the color refinishing system.
