>>> I read in the instructions somewhere that you are supposed to spray fatliquor 5.0 after a warm up, how do you warm it up?
It cold weather, below room temperature of average 21 degree C all the rejuvenating products like the Hydrator-3.3, Fatliquor-5.0 and EffectWax-8.6 may be warm up by putting into a container of hot tap water and cover up with towel. It will make the products more active, but not above 50C.
>>> Also, the instructions some places say to use a hair dryer after you use effectwax 8.6. Other places there is no mention of the hair dryer.
One purpose of this EffectWax-8.6 is to rejuvenate the pull-up effect (when pull or stretch the leather lighten up)he other purpose is to deposit a cloudy wax crystalline on its surface and will need a hairdryer or heat gun to activate the wax, melting it to a clear gloss coating (In restorative care where the high gloss luster is desire AnilineTop-76G is applied thereafter over it).
>>> I am working on a wax pullup restoration hardware couch. I have the restorative kit. (Although, now I'm wondering if I should have had the degreaser and the acidifier too.)
It will depends on the condition of the leather, body oil, grease and sweat should be decontaminated prior to rejuvenating the leather.
1- Degreaser-2.2 - this is for breaking down the body oil and grease, it also neutralize the sweat component and charging the leather protein fiber ionic positive (+ve).
2- Acidifier-2.0 - this is for rinsing and at the same time charge the leather protein fiber ionic positive (+ve).
3- Hydrator-3.3 - this is to relax, separates the fiber structure and charge it ionic positive (+ve).
4- Fatliquor-5.0 - this is the ionic negative (-ve) charge fat, oil and water that will supple up the leather that will prevent stiffness and cracking. It is hydrogen-bonded into the leather fiber structure.
5- EffectWax-8.6 - this the fashion pull-up effect that retains the leather characteristic.
