This is a combo bag, the main body is know as simulated leathers as the white background and the monogram as the print which is more delicate and harsh physical agitation may dislodge it, to be aware of. The trims are Vachetta leather, which is pH sensitive and any liquid that has a pH above 7, will most likely browns it, even with clean tap water. So, always check liquid products before using it. Magic Eraser turns alkaline when used with water will browns it, never used it!

Here are the leather problem solving matrix or instruction for both the Simulated and the Vachetta leathers for reference.

#1 Vachetta (V) Leather Problem Solving Guide

#2 Pigmented (P.s) Simulated Leather Problem Solving Guide

>>> How do I remove the dye transfer (caused by the red lining).
Dye transfer is removed using a ‘reverse-technique’ in combination with Prep-7.7 + Towel-5 system. When the dyes are removed the sticky residue is then removed with Clean-3.8 > Rinse-3.0

>>> Also, there are unknown orange/black marks on the bag.
Solvent-based stain may be removed with Stripper-2.3 as the last resort with extreme care as the prints may not be able to take it. The first approach is similar to removing the dye-transfer mentioned above.

>>> Watermarks on the handles and trim.
Watermarks are removed with VachettaPro-1.2 > Acidifier-2.0 system. Thereafter, it is highly recommended that leather rejuvenating continues before the leather dries with Hydrator-3.3 > Fatliquor-5.0 > Hydrator-3.3 system.

Products mentioned are found in this Kit-V7+

You will need Prep-7.7 for the dye removal as add-on from this link:

We will get into more details when you are ready with the products.

Thank you for your evaluation and suggested kit info (kit V-7). I will add the Prep 7.7 when I am ready to order.

It is Kit-V7+ and not (kit V-7).

There is a back-up plan for using Prep-7.7, with Bleach-9.9 as a booster and NOT to be used on the Vachetta leathers.

Bleach-9.9 formulated for non-absorbent pigmented leather types only. This powder bleach reads pH 9.9 when mixed with hot water to a paste. Use to bleach dyes stains without affecting the color pigment. Compound dye stain’s other component (carbon, grease, shellac and varnish binder) has to be removed prior to bleaching the remaining dye residues.

For ballpoint and all dye transfers – use Prep-7.7 (also known as CleanInk-7.7) as the main product, then thereafter use Clean-3.8 to remove sticky residue and Rinse-3.0 to a squeaky feel.

Not to be used on leather without a non-absorbent finishes as it will yellow and denatures the protein leather fiber – use with caution!

Test finishes absorbency strength with Hydrator-3.3 (soak a paper towel cut-out and place over stain for 30mins); if it darkens, void the bleaching. Perforated and stitching holes are to be avoided as well.

Mixing Instructions:

The powder Bleach-9.9 has to be mixed into a paste to be applied onto the dye stains so that it remains on top of the surface. Otherwise penetration into the leather crust will cause yellowing a sign of denaturing to the leather. Using non-metal tools to mix with adding hot water does mixing. Advanced formula includes adding Prep-7.7 for a longer more effective suspending and bleaching effect.

A) Standard Mix:

A.1 The approximate ratio mix is Bleach-9.9 (3) to Hot Water (1).

A.2 For example, measure 9gm into the empty plastic bottle, then add 3gm of hot water using the pipette and stir it up to a paste.

B) Advanced Mix:

B.1 Bleach-9.9 is first mixed with Prep-7.7 and thereafter; hot water is added to mix it into a white paste.

B.2 The ratio by weight is Bleach-9.9 (1) + Prep-7.7 (2) + Hot Water (2).

B.3 Example of the mix by weight in the bottle may start with Bleach-9.9 (10gm) + Prep-7.7 (20gm); stir well then add hot water (20gm) using the pipette, stir again and leave for 10 minutes or so for it to gel into a whitish paste prior to application.

The paste is applied onto the stain, preferably using a cut out stretchable paper towel placed on top; this helps the released colorless stains to be absorbed by the paper towel instead. Check every 2 hours for a maximum of 6 hours to see the effect of the bleaching.

Use bleach with caution. If the finishes becomes absorbent (with a darkening effect), stop the bleaching immediately. Clean off sticky residue with Clean-3.8, followed with Acidifier-2.0 until there is a squeaky feel. Avoid physical rubbing which may damage the finishes during the bleaching process. Blotting action and light agitation using horsehair Brush-1 is recommended.

pH Neutralization:

Neutralize the area by soaking a cut out paper towel with Acidifier-2.0 with a cut out stretchable paper towel and leave to dwell. Change paper towel when it becomes soiled and repeat. The process should take double the bleaching time (e.g. a 6 hours bleaching would require a 12 hours neutralizing time).

The Kit-V7+ arrived. Waiting to start the cleaning process

Something happened to the Cleaner 3.8, Acidifier 20, Rinse 3.0, and Hydrator 3.3. They arrived practically empty (see photo). Could I have replacements sent?

These are concentrates in the bottle - see the instruction on the white strip. Their ratio are not the same thus the different amount.

Also see from where you have place your order product description in "Green" example Clean-3.8

Fill is concentrate ratio in the same spray bottle to be fill-up with distilled water prior to use to save on shipping.
