Having trouble removing a black stain from what may be a pig skin jacket. The first picture is the original stain and the second and third is after several attempts using degreaser 2.2 and acidifier2.0 over a number of days.

Could possibly be "hair dye"?

Test a drop of Prep-7.7 to a hidden area to test the strength of the dye (at least 24 hours to see it dyes is removed).

Thereafter use a drop to test on the stain (you may leave it up to 72 hours with interval inspection to see how it response.

More dramas with the jacket. There was a crease in front of the jacket that would not come out after hydrating and fat liquoring, so I tried to iron it with a piece of material in between the leather. The result was a black mark on top of the leather which I can't get rid of.. Needing your help again.

Try Degreaser-2.2 > Rinse-3.0 system, could be some grease that pulls up by heat.

What material do you use?

Use absorbent material like printing paper to go between the iron and the leather.

Set the iron only to wool setting.

How is the outcome of the collar stain?

Sounds like the stain is fugitive or running and will need to be wick through a paper towel instead of remaining on the surface of the leather.

First the stain surface is wet out with Rinse-3.0 and paper towel is place over it and work out without air-spaces with Brush-1 and leave for the stain to wick through. Peel off the paper when crispy dry and inspect the paper for fugitive stains.

To improve appearance, the leather is further stretch, brush and erase accordingly of surface soiling particulates.

Please show picture of the process.
