View Full Version : Pigmented (Mono-Tone) - How to restore my Natuzzi sofa of creases, and body-oil / hair-oil / sweat stains close to brand-new as shown in picture?

Questions!

I would like to clean my Natuzzi sofa.

My goal is to bring it as close to new as possible and get rid of the cracks / creases on the back cushions.

One cushion has body / hair sweat that went through the leather (confirmed by looking underneath).

Do you think it is possible to achieve my goal (bring close to new + get rid of cracks).

You can see that brand new (on last picture), the sofa leather should be entirely straight.

I would like to get close to that look.

Attached are some pictures.

Thank you,
Duy

This problem is solved by degreasing the body oil and grease; simultaneously rectify the sweat contamination with rinsing with an acidifier as one system process.

Inevitably, fatliquor the original fat and oil will somehow be removed as well and will need to be replenished after hydrating to wick up the suspended soiling particulates.

It is recommended to do the degreasing from the suede side.

The body/hair /sweat contamination that have went through the leather may have also cause some adhesion damages to the finishes as well and may need to refinish, depending on the outcome of the removal.

This degreasing and restoration process may take on this sequence of processing phases:

1] Degreasing
Degreaser-2.2 > Acidifier-2.0

2] Hydrating
Hydrator-3.3

3] Fatliquor Replenishing
Fatliquor-5.0

4] Structural Repairs Option to Tighten Over-Stretching
Impregnator-26

5] Refinishing Option or as Necessary
Adhesor-73 > Micro-Pigment-54 > Thickener-48 > Topcoat-72

6] Rub Resistant Protection
Protection-B+

Your ultimate desire to get the cushion like brand new look will involve the cushion as well. That is to say if the material have sagged, then you may have to replace them. The firmness of the inner cushion gives the support to have the leather as straight a line as possible.

The outer leather may also have sagged due to constant compression that over stretches it. This can be done with hydrating to shrink back and return the tautness with help of fatliquor replenishing it thereafter.
