This leather is identified as Aniline Wax Pull-up.

And the stain is identified as from human.

Kit AW3.uo is the recommended kit for urine decontaminating, for a holistic restoration without involving dyeing would require the additional of topcoat-79G and Eraser-4.

Take a look at this general application of this kit, for more specific; we shall discuss it when you have the products at hand. . .

    ■ Aniline Wax Pull-up Leather - Urine Decontamination System:
The damaging effect of urine; when fresh it is mildly acidic to neutral with hardly any smell; it is the uric contents that attract the natural bacteria from the atmosphere and when fermented shift its pH value alkaline; from distinctly ammonic smell to the foul mercaptan smell at the advanced stage. The intensity of the odor will depends on the amount of urine deposited, frequency and urine types; with pets urine seems to produce the strongest odor. Severe and advance stage stain may produce fugitives black and white residues; the blacks from the tanning agent and the white from the fatliquor. When urine turns alkaline, it will shift the protein leather fibers negative; that repels the ionic negative tanning agent and fatliquor like magnet does ‘like poles repel’, thus the breaking of the hydrogen-bonding between them. This phenomenal of breaking bonds is the beginning of the denaturing of the leather resulting from tackiness to eventual dry rotting.
1st phase - Dry Soil Removal:
Disposable latex gloves and dust mask protection during dry soil removal is recommended depending on the severity of the urine contamination. Dry soil removal may involve - erasing with the sponge side of the leather Eraser-4 and stitching seams brushing with horsehair leather Brush-1. It’s recommended to test wipes the entire surface with a white absorbent towel to check for effective dry soil removing until towel shows clean, prior to moving into the wet cleaning phase.
2nd phase - Wet Soil Removal:
It is recommended to wear latex gloves and mist mask as personal protection. The sour odor, an indication of chemical continuous working effect will eventually wears out.
    a) Fresh Stain:
1] Spray d’Protein-10.0 to saturate the stain, horsehair Brush-1 agitate and towel extract until it shows clean.
2] Spray d’Urine-2.1 to saturate the stain, horsehair Brush-1 agitate and towel extract until it shows clean.
3] Spray Rinse-3.0 to saturate the stain and towel extract until it shows clean.
    b) Tacky Stain:
1] Apply d’Urine-2.1 to saturate the stain, horsehair Brush-1 agitation to penetrate and towel extract until it shows clean to a squeaky feel.
2] For severe cases spray to saturate the stain and cling wrapped to dwell 8 hours or overnight follows with towel extraction until it shows clean.
3] Apply d’Protein-10.0 to saturate the stain and horsehair Brush-1 agitate follows with towel extract until it shows clean.
4] Reapply d’Urine-2.1 to saturate the stain again, brush agitate and towel extract to neutralize the high alkalinity of the d’Protein-11.0.
5] Spray Rinse-3.0 to saturate the stain and towel extract until it shows clean.
    3rd phase - Hydrating:
Leather structure hydrating is to facilitate the dispersion of the remaining foreign contamination still suspended in the inter-fibrillary spaces, to wicks up, for a periodic towel extraction while damp to eliminate rings. As hydrating is a continuation of the stain removal process, it is recommended to continue working out the stain through repeat extraction and visual inspection for an even appearance till satisfaction while still damp. When dry, the surface residue is further work with Eraser-4. A visual inspection is done for satisfaction prior to fatliquor replenishing it, otherwise repeat. Severe cases may find urine related damages with permanent darkening marks and or surface grain damages.
1] Spray Hydrator-3.3 soaking the entire leather for an even appearance.
2] Advance technique involves an overnight dwelling under plastic sheet to effectively redistribute the residual traces of stains over the entire leather.
3] The plastic sheet is then replaced by layers of absorbent tissue towel as an extension of the leather finish to help trap wicking contamination in the drying process.
4] The tissue is removed when crispy dry, residues are brush off and inspects for satisfaction; proceed to fatliquor replenishing, otherwise repeat.
    4th phase – Fatliquor Leather-Scent Refreshing:
This phase is to infuse the leather structure with leather scented fatliquor as a 2-in-1 treatment. Leather scented fatliquor rejuvenate with the unforgettable classic leather scent. Generally besides leather scent refreshing, fatliquor replenishing maintains the leather for suppleness; and contributing to the overall appearance in synergizing with the wax and dyestuff to saturate the color deeper. The contributing color of wax pull-up is from a combination of dyestuff, fatliquor and wax. The pH shifting of the urine towards alkalinity causes the fatliquor to break hydrogen-bonding with the leather protein fiber. This causes the fatliquor to leach out as spew with a cloudy appearance. Prolonged contamination with neglect will turn them cardboard stiff and when flex or pressure is put on them will crack. It is recommended to inspect the surface for an even appearance with Hydrator-3.3 prior to fatliquor replenishing it. Effective fatliquor replenishing is to saturate the leather structure repeatedly in between water content evaporation. When dry thereafter, the leather fibrils will be well separated and lubricated to slide over one another smoothly during practical usage with extra softness.
1] Spray Fatliquor LS-5.5, spread with foam brush for an even appearance.
2] Repeat application in between water content evaporation to plump it.
3] Continue with wax effect replenishing it.
    5th phase – Wax-Effect Replenishing:
Wax replenishing rejuvenates its characteristic uniqueness, otherwise its fashion effects diminishes. This unique wax replenishing contributes to its overall color intensity, besides imparting a natural shower proofing glossy shield against liquid spill.
1] Wax Effect-8.6 replenishing is a continuation of the fatliquoring process to plumps the leather.
2] The fully saturated leather is left for slow natural drying for extra softness.
3] A whitish waxy residue will develop when it’s fully dry, to be activated with heat blower or hair dryer to a natural waxy gloss luster.
    6th phase – Re-Dyeing (as necessary):
Inspection for surface grain damages is done at this stage. Restoration repairs may involve a darker dye color to camouflage the stain. This may have to be extended to the related areas. Aniline Dye-21 is the recommended system.
7th phase - Topcoat Refinishing (as necessary):
Topcoat inspection is done at this stage to determine the extent of existing damages. As salvage cleaning may further remove deteriorated and weak finish, topcoat refinishing is recommended. If original topcoat has been abraded off, it’s often noticeable with a duller appearance. Topcoat-79G, gloss luster can be found in Kit AW3.dr or as individual item.
    8th phase – Leather Scent Refreshing with a Non-stick, Rub-resistant Protection:
This protection has its contributing benefits: non-stick against sticky soiling making cleaning easier; draggy-feel, rub-resistant reduces wear to the topcoat, thus prolonging its glossy appearance; and imparting the unforgettable classic leather scent that charms.
1] Apply Protection-D+ after shaking well, spread with lint free towel and is ready for use when dry.
