Test out the leather with a drop of Hydrator-3.3 to inspect if the leather is absorbent?
Most of these scratches show topcoat damages to be restored with matching topcoat – if the leather is absorbent it would probably be Aniline Topcoat-79G.
Prior to topcoat repairs the following sequences is recommended:
1] Restorative Cleaning – Prep-4.4 > Cleaner-3.8 > Rinse-3.0
2] Hydrator-3.3 – This process to hydrate the leather is to relax the scratches of the distorted grain pattern back to position with help of leather Spatula-6; especially the dent on the right as shown in picture #2 to be work from the reverse side with the loop end of the Spatula-6. Advance hydrator relaxing technique is to let the hydrator dwell up to 72hrs under plastic wrapped forb easy working.
3] Fatliquor-5.0 – If test shows leather is aniline which is usually absorbent, fatliquor replenishing to soften leather for suppleness is highly recommended.
