Default How to remove inside fabric ink stain, treat the canvas, lighten and soften leather so that it won’t crack on a Louis Vuitton bag?

I want to restore a vintage Louis Vuitton the leather is dark and I want to lighten and restore the bag leather so it won't crack. Also the inside fabric has ink do you have anything to remove ink off of fabric. And how can you treat the canvas? Do you have any before and after pictures you can send me of what the bag would look like after being restored? What would be the cost and can you pay by credit card?

I just emailed you and asked for a price are the small bottles sufficient for what I want to do and if so what is the cost for small bottles

I sent 4 photos of bag. I purchased the bag used and tried to clean bottom but it seems that the ink from the inside is what is causing spots on bottom. I was wonder if it is worth it to try anything since the bag is older. And what would your products do?

    Picture #4
Work should be done on this ink stains removal from the fabric.
    Recommendation:
    Prep-7.7 > Cleaner-3.8 > Rinse-3.0.
99% of the work is done by Prep-7.7 and if done accordingly, more than 97% of the stain should be gone (depending on the fabric material).

    Picture #3
Ink stains that migrate to the leather base of the bag.
    Prep-7.7 > Cleaner-3.8 > Rinse-3.0 > Hydrator-3.3
The ink has gone through the cross section of the leather – surface stain is removed by the Prep-7.7, while else the stains from the thickness has to be moved by wicking with Hydrator-3.3. Hydrator-3.3 is also used for the final even out of the leather appearance avoiding blotchiness or rings.

    Pictures #2 & #1
Looks like penetrated body oils that causes the darkening, however sunlight exposure will also darkens this vachetta leather (vegetable tanned naked leathers).
    Recommended Degreasing:
    Degreaser-2.2 > Rinse-3.0

Recommended Browning Treatment to Lighten up the Leather:
    d’Tannin-3.5

Recommended softening of the so it won’t Crack:
    Hydrator-3.3 > Fatliquor-5.0

Here’s the recommended Kit V3.bt with Ink Removal 7.7 as an add-on otherwise the leather-safe Prep-4.4 can be used as a substitute will less of an ink removal power.

    ■ Vachetta Leather Dye Transfer Stain Removal System
Common dye transfer stains are from blue jeans, newsprint and dyed goods that require the penetrating, lubricating and suspending power of Prep-4.4. In most cases the suspended stains is easily reabsorbed into the leather that is difficult to be towel extracted entirely. Extra process is necessary to wicks up these reabsorbed stains with the help of Hydrator-3.3. Advance technique is to place absorbent tissue paper as an extension of the leather surface to trap these fugitive dyes in the wicking process. Fatliquoring to soften and strengthen the leather after complete stain removal is highly recommended. Note: Stains that have been attempted by unknown products may be set tougher to remove. It’s also recommended to use tap water wet finger test for tackiness or sliminess. If it is, acidifying it with Acidifier-2.0 found in Kit V3.T to return the leather to a squeaky feel is highly recommended prior to Prep-4.4 application.
    Instructions
    1st Phase Surface Removal :

1] Apply Prep-4.4 to the stain, horsehair Brush-1 agitate and towel extract until towel shows clean. If stains remains a longer dwell time of 4 to 8 hours is necessary or even an overnight dwell with cling wrapper.
2] If the stain is gone, clean the sticky residue with Cleaner-3.8 follows with Rinse-3.0 let dry and inspect.
3] For reabsorbed stains proceed with structural removal.
    2nd Phase Structural Removal:
1] Spray Hydrator-3.3 to hydrate the entire thickness of the leather and lay absorbent tissue paper over the entire surface and let it soak through tight, free of air spaces.
2] This process allows the wick-up residue to be caught by the tissue paper when it’s perfectly dry for inspection.
    3th Phase Fatliquoring:
1] Fatliquor-5.0 follows the same procedure as the Hydrator-3.3, with in between drying even application as moisture evaporates.

    ■ Vachetta Leather Leather Rejuvenating System
Rejuvenating system is the process of restoring the original fatliquor diminished through aging and cleaning to return to its characteristic suppleness. Leathers, when wet and then dry again, have the tendency for the fibrils to becomes stick together - known as the Van der Waals or London force phenomenon. This results in stiffness and when flexed, may lead to premature cracks, as often seen on neglected leathers. It is recommended to hydrate these exposed leather structure and replenish the diminished fatliquor while it is still damp. When dry thereafter, the leather fibrils will be well separated and lubricated to slide over one another smoothly during practical usage. A fully rejuvenated leather with sufficient fat and oil is less susceptible to liquid stains besides keeping the leather structure healthy from stiffness that leads to cracks.
    Hydrating Instructions:
1] Spray Hydrator-3.3 with help of foam brush to penetrate the leather.
2] A visual inspection is to ensure even appearance is achieved and ready for fatliquoring.
    Fatliquoring Instructions:
1] Fatliquor-5.0 follows the same procedure as the Hydrator-3.3, with in between drying even application as moisture evaporates.
2] The rejuvenated leather is left for slow natural drying for extra softness.
3] Inspect for even appearance and remove wicks up residue with Eraser-4 prior to Leather Scent-D application.
3rd Phase Non-stick Rub Resistant Protection:
1] Spray Leather Scent-D, spread with lint free towel for an even appearance and it’s ready to use when dry.

It’s for charging the leather protein fibers below its iso-electric point positive to hydrogen-bond with the ionic negative charged Fatliquor-5.0. It’s for facilitating colloidal water movement within the leather structure during the wicking process to move soiling particulates to the surface.
It’s for reactivating the dormant dyestuff to resurface thus reducing the contrast between the color coat and the leather crust. It’s for reducing or eliminate blotchiness when dry especially absorbent leathers. Besides softening the leather with stretchability, compressibility and flexibility; fatliquor enhances its rip tensile strength greatly thus reduces split or tear to the stitching and perforated holes. It relaxes coarse breaks, creases and wrinkles to provide drapes, suppleness and prevents cracking. It helps to keep leather at its optimum physical performance and prevent premature ageing. It’s safe for all other leather trims including; aniline, vachetta, nubuck, suede, hair-on-hide and woolskin.

Its natural draggy-feel protection increases the leather resistance to wet and dry rubs, thus reduces stretch, scuff and abrasion. It is also used as a scuff repairer, filling and concealing surface scuffs to improve appearance. The drag produces an unforgettable familiar sound sweet to the ears when leather is rubbed.
