    Default Colour Products

    Hi Roger,

What sort of equipment do you recommend for spraying your colours?

What advise do you give for colour matching as well?

    Kind regards

    Brian

    Default Compressors and Air Guns:

Compressors and Air Guns for Color Application

Most compressors can produce between 80psi to 100psi, the bigger the tank (air reservoir) the more consistency the flow of air.

Pressure regulator and filter are important to clean the air of compressor oil and water.

I match my Hitachi 165 liters per minute compressor with Devilbiss Type JGA-700 spray gun.

And silence compressor Jun-Air 24.5 liters per minute with Paache H 70039.

I can do most of my work with the later combinations “Jun-Paache”.

I have also modified the spray bottles attachment on both guns.

The curve tip of the Devilviss trigger is trim-off to accumulate the bottle.

I attached either a 4 oz or 8oz bottle to the Devilbiss.

And a 1 oz or 4oz bottle to the paache.

These simple adaptations eliminate much of the down time in washing.

    Roger,

For right now, can you give greater detail on the standard Nubuck System and the Aniline System.

    Thanks! This is great information.

    Roger,

I noticed that on several of the systems you start with the opaque pigment impregnator as the first step. Is this something you have to do or is it just if you have bare unsealed leather?

    Dear Pioneer and Viewers,

PigmentSealer46™ a color pigment and AnilineSealer27™ a color dye, one is opaque and the other is transparent.

They are of soft aqueous polymeric resin impregnator developed to tighten worn grain to impart a settled and smooth appearance to the surface.

    Instruction:
Apply to worn or abraded skin damages only and wipe off surrounding excess neatly before it dries.

If sanding is needed for in-between coats, use from 800 to 1500 grit sandpaper accordingly.

These impregnator are introduces to repair damage surfaces so that the color base coat application in reduces to avoiding over coating.

The thinner the coating the better the aesthetic the lesser the material used and the faster the drying time.

See the spray gun I used that has been modified to accommodate smaller 8 or 4 oz container.

You have to compare to appreciate how these fine products work.

Let me have your sincere comments!

    Default Leather color

From experience it takes a special eye and lots of practice to get the color right for a match.
Roger is an expert and can easily give you a match if you send in a sample.
How do you print a post response for future reference?

+1 . It's one of the most difficult things to do in this field. You''ll get the hang of it eventually, I guess!
