Hermes Ostrich Bag rescue. Botched “restoration” and coloring
I just had my Ostrich Hermes Sac a Deputies returned to me from a disastrous "refurbishment." It was natural (nude) ostrich that was stained, but beautiful. After unsuccessfully removing the "staining," she suggested we dye the bag a dark color. She dyed and then applied "tons of pigment" on it for coverage, however it's blotchy, uneven and feels like plastic. Is there any chance you could share what you might think be going on here?
Can anything be done to the bag at this point? I am willing to do whatever it takes to get a natural finish to the bag again, including removing the pigment (if possible) and possible coloring it black. I appreciate your time and advice.
