Default Help! waxy finish gone on part of aniline chair

    Hi,
I purchased this chair for way too much money only a few months ago. I noticed a spot, and so I used a mild soap and a rag and tried to get it up. It looks like the waxy patina on that part of the chair was destroyed by the process. Here is what it looks like:

When I tried to re-hydrate it with wax, it looks less conspicuous but gives a darker color than the surrounding leather. Is there a way to restore the waxy finish? What can I do?

    Thank you!

A aniline waxy finish is refinished with AnilineTop-21W

    then protect with Protector-W+

And before you apply the AnilineTop-21W the wax that you applied need to be degreased with
    Degreaser-2.2

    and rinse off with Rinse-3.0

I am referring to the left seat area discoloration, your cleaning may have removed the dyestuff and the finishing as well, the dark spot is still apparent.
My recommendation is first removed the dark spot, most probably is some grease stain with Degreaser-2.2 > Acidifier-2.0 > Hydrator-3.3 system. This grease removing system also applies to the back center. We will have a look at the dark stain removal satisfaction before we go into the color refinishing.
