    Default Vinyl booth seat protection

    Hey Roger,
I often reupholster vinyl restaurant booth seats. The manager asked if I had anything to protect the seats. Would Bicast Top76 with crosslinker be a good option?

    Regards,
    Frank

    Tips:

1- BicastTop-76G with Crosslinker-25 will increase the wear and reduce potential tackiness problem.

    2- Protector-B/B+ will impart a buttery-feel, non-stick, rub-resistant surface.

Will it hold up well to the fairly harsh chemicals the use to wipe and clean the seats with? How often would you reapply?

    >>> Will it hold up well to the fairly harsh chemicals the use to wipe and clean the seats with?

Just try out one seat to compare with the rest how it holds up. Alkaline based products swells the finishing and deteriorate it faster then to use Acidic based products (note the Leather Doctor products suffix number represent the pH value of the product as low as 1.5 for CleanPro-1.5. Most products with lower then the pH value of most leather surface of 3 - 5 are formulated to pH balanced most constantly used “fairly harsh chemicals”, so that the leather finishes return to its pH neutral (iso-electric point or pI). The surface of the leather finishes is one common problem when is constantly cleaned with harsh alkaline chemicals. You may use Windex as an example of harsh chemicals to test it out.

    >>> How often would you reapply?

Non of the user in this forum, using BicastTop-76G + Crosslinker-25 has report of any reoccurrence problem.
The leather finishes becomes as super tough as the ice hockey goalie guards from constant wetness and abrasion.
