New to me couch, chair, and ottoman set that has obviously seen a lot of use/abuse that I'm trying to return to acceptable condition. The first photo is a couch seat cushion where you can see the waxier looking original finish on the left and the worn duller finish on the right.
Both sides will bead water so I'm unsure whether I need to perform a topcoat restoration in addition to a restorative cleaning regimen. Here is a detail shot of the same seat cushion, on the worn area. Because of the "crackled" looking texture am I correct in assuming this in a pigmented/semi-aline leather?
All of the high traffic areas look like this - darker, dull finish than the original one and feel dry/rough to the touch. The couch is the only piece that has the tacky thing going on - heat seems to be the activating condition as the leather does not feel tacky when cold.
