Default Pottery Barn Couch - 7 yrs old with dog scratches.

Buying (1 x Kit-Aw3 : Aniline Wax Pull-up Leather Care Kit ) to get deep scratches out of Pottery Barn couch.
Will the kit include steps/instructions for scratch work?
The scratches our dog made - the entire backrest of the couch - aren't really deep.
The color seems to have blended in amongst the oldest scratches.
The armrest is rather dark, looks sun exposed even tho it wasn't, rough and dry.
These photos are outside in the bright light of day, best I could do.
It’s a Pottery Barn Couch, about 7 yrs old.

Leather identification come first and from pictures we may not be positively sure its secondary finishes. The primary finishes is “aniline”. Pull-up is a secondary effect and age may have diminishes as it dries up as well. Here is a description of a wax-pull up . . . “Wax pull-up leathers derive its color from dyestuff and effect wax that gives the leather a lively distressed look. When this leather is pulled, stretched or scratched, the waxes dissipate characteristically and become lighter in those areas. Sunlight and stretching through high wear areas are two main indications that the infused wax needs replenishing. As is, effect wax behaves just like the primary fatliquor they do diminish through ageing and will need periodic replenishing. Besides contributing to the color intensity, it improves in water shedding effect. Effect wax when applied to the leather penetrates while some transforms into fine cloudy crystal and remains on the surface. The dried surface white powdery deposits are then heat activated and when they melt, they coat the surface with a glossy sheen. In a restorative care cycle a urethane gloss topcoats is applied to restore its original appearance. In every of these kits there is a bottle of EffectWax-8.6 to work in conjunction with other system products in a holistic approach for maintaining or restoring this unique characteristic only to aniline wax pull-up leathers.

If you are not particular of the pull-up effect you may ignore it and treated it as a standard aniline leather.

The care Kit-Aw3 is not complete to restore scratch work and may require add-on products to accomplished the desired result.

    Tips:

    #1- Restoring of the scratches may be rectified with Hydrator-3.3 > Fatliquor-5.0 > Adhesor-73 > Aniline-76 > AnilineTop-76G > Protector-B/B+ system.

#2- Smoothen the flap of scratches may require Bond-3D > Bond-7A.

#3- Sanding also helps in between repairs where Bond-3D > Bond-7A is not used.

Let me know you need further help.
