This could be a nubuck, a napa or a pure-aniline.

Picture is not close-up enough to have a positive identification.

Tools use are different, nubuck with nubuckBrush2™ and nubuckEraser5™.

Or, if its napa or pure-aniline use with leatherBrush1™ and anilineEraser4™.

If there is a musty suffocating odor it is positively identify as mold growth.

    Recommended Procedural Sequences

    Step 1: Dry Soil Removal
Use matching eraser and brush to remove mold growth, responsibly.

    Step 2: Restoration Cleaning
    d’Grease4.9™ > clean3.8™ > rinse3.0™

    Step 3: Antimicrobial Treatment
    d’Mold3.6™

Step 4: Leather Structure Softening and Strengthening
    fatliquor5.0™

Step 5: Leather Scent Non-Stick Feel Conditioning.
    leatherScent’S™ for Nubuck or Pure-Aniline.
    leatherScent’B™ for Napa

    Refinishing System (optional)
    Use nubuckColor94™ + nubuckFix99™ for nubuck
Use napaColor84™ + napaTop78S™ for napa pigmented leathers
    Use aniPureDye21™ + aniPureTop53WM™ for pure-aniline leathers

What is the brand of this bag?

And do you know the leather finish type?

Velvet suede is another name for Nubuck.

The reverse of any Nubuck is suede.

Suede is the reverse side of napa (un-split leathers) from skins (small animals), so the reverse side is a smooth leather.

Suede is also from the reverse side of shearling (shorn sheepskin).

Suede from hides (big animal) is the under split layer, thus suede-split where both sides are suede.

Why we need to know the difference?

We want to “AVOID” scratches when we clean NUBUCK.

suedeBrush3™ when used on NUBUCK have to be very careful not to scratch it!
