Default Pigmented - Leather bag has faded spots after hydrating

    Hi,
The Bag originally had a water mark on it, so I did the usual steps of cleaning it and then hydrating it. But after hydrating white sections started to appear on the bag and the more I hydrated the more white spots started to appear on the bag. The first picture shows the original water marked bag the others show the white spots ... Its hard to capture the white spots on the camera though. Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it?

    Thanks
    Johnny

This could be an alkaline overexposure situation that leads the protein fiber breaks hydrogen bond with the fatliquor at the molecular level.

The white could be possible residue of leach out fatliquor.

To strengthen the ionic attraction between them would require protonating the protein fiber with Acidifier-2.0.

Try brushing in with a horsehair Brush-1 let natural dry and see the result.

Any residue will then need Hydrator-3.3 to brush off.

These 2 methods will be the safest without any side effect.

Let me know if it does not work - you may have to degrease it with Degreaser-2.2 > Acidifier-2.0.
