Default Pigmented (Micro or Semi-Aniline) - Semi Aniline Ottomans

We need to refinish these 2 Hancock and Moore Ottomans. They are faded and have some dark spots of unknown origin.
We cleaned both pieces, tried Protein, Tarnish and tannin on spots but unable to get them to move. We also Hydrated and fat liquored overnight. Brought some color back but spots remain.
I will need dye to finish where sun faded

Roger, Do you know what I can do to remove these dark stains while I wait for the dye?

    >>> Roger, Do you know what I can do to remove these dark stains while I wait for the dye?

Most likely these are protein based stain like blood, remove by d’Protein-10 for the protein component and d’Tarnish-1.3 for the rusty iron component.

Old stains may coagulate and will need the help of physical removal with simple tools as shown in these pictures.

Worn surface is smooth up or skin buildup with Adhesor-73 with in-between fine 2000grit sanding.

Roger, I was able to remove some of them with the technique above, however when you wet out the hide they reappear.

Three products are use is such situation – d’Protein-10, d’Tannin-3.5 and Hydrator-3.3. Depending how deep is the penetration may not have the patience to repeatedly remove them all. In a color-refinishing situation after Adhesor-73, it is recommended to use “White” to block off prior to desired color to reduce build-up unnecessary.
