Default Removing moisture from work boots

I am curious, I own shoe trees and use them in my dress shoes, but do cedar shoe trees remove more moisture than just air drying? I am not talking about when my boots are soaked, just the moisture from my feet after walking a bit during the day.

It is recommended that the shoetree is put in place to hold up the shape while moisture is release.

Note that leather when damp or wet and dry again tends to be stiffer thereafter, massaging it may soften it, but becomes weaker as the stiff fibers breaks. Hydrator-3.3 > Fatliquor-5.0 while the leather is damp or wet when dry and massage thereafter will soften the leather with strength.

It is still advisable to put on the shoetree while moisture evaporates, thus keeping the boots in shape.
