I bought a couch off kijiji recently and even though I asked many questions about the quality and condition, they lied and after a 3 hour drive to get there and a 3 hour drive awaiting us, I couldn't go home empty handed. I was quite dissapointed and I hope I can save this couch! It seems like it was good leather but they didn't take care of it at all. The cushions have cracked badly and feel much thinner than the rest of the couch. They have also darkened in places considerably. I'm thinking that the cushions could use restuffing as well but I don't know how to do that since they are not removable.
I've read a fair amount on this forum already and I think I know that I'm going to need the impregnator 26 at the very least...possibly the leather bond. I'm not sure. I just want to make this couch better. It doens't have to look brand new, just not fit for the dump!

I hope that this can be saved! The owners (as they were talking the couch up while we were staring at it in horror), said that it's very good leather that the colour goes all the way through and has a very thin coating (or maybe no coating...though I've learned now that all leather has a coating of some sort). I've checked and the colour goes all the way through to the suade layer underneath (same colour). I pulled on it and I *think* it lightened....it's a dark colour and it's in my basement so....not positive. I can try again. I lightly dragged my nail across a good part of the leather and it left a white mark...though I didn't try to rub it out or heat it up.
Please help me narrow down what I need to fix this, if it's possible!
