Hey guys,

Newbie here. My first impressions after doing some research and leather care is that it seems like you have to have a friggin degree to care for leather. Why does it seem like certain products work well for certain car interiors and others are problematic? Why is this not a more one-size-fits-all deal? Example: I use Lexol to clean the grey leather seats in my 2001 Accord and it seems to do okay (albeit it doesn't seem to remove much dirt), but when I use it on the tan leather in my sister's 2006 Honda Pilot, it looks like its removing the dye from the leather. What's up with that? Then I read reviews for certain products and some say it works great, them another says it turned their new leather into cardboard. What gives? I just wanna take care of my seats. Why does this have to be a damn research project?
