Default Aniline (Wax Pull-Up) - Restoration Hardware - scuffs and scratches - Leather Couch - What would be your advice to get the couch back to original condition?

I saw your threads in the leather forums and was hoping you can help us with our restoration hardware couch.
We have 3 cats and a toddler so as you can see there are many scratches on the arms.
The scratches appear superficial as you can get these scratches from just your fingernail across the leather.
What would be your advice to get the couch back to original condition?
We like the shiny waxy look like it came originally.
    Thank you
    Clay

To get the couch back to its original condition:
The wax effect has to be replenished at regular interval to maintain the finish.
When Wax Effect-8.6 is applied to the leather, it will soak in.
This is how the leather has the pull-up effect (lightens when pull or stretch).
The wax crystalline remains on the surface turning the surface coated white.
This surface wax crystal deposits is to be activated with a warm blower like a hair dryer/
The heat activate or melts the wax to form the typical “shiny” look characteristic of the Wax Pull-up leathers.
When it is done sufficiently, the finish will revert to original condition.

Scratches that can be feels by hand will require a leather bond to smoothen it.
All repairs marks whether original or present will take on a darkening healing mark appearance.
Imitation leathers will lack the darkening features that authenticate leather genuinely.

Please see this Aniline Wax Pull-up leather guide for the scuff repairs and other related problems.

I have the same couch from RH and similar scratches. Did this repair method work for you? Thanks

Depending on soiling condition an optional restorative cleaning may be done with Prep-4.4 > Clean-3.8 > Rinse-3.0 or degreasing done with Degreaser-2.2 > Acidifier-2.0. However, very light soiling in this situation is done with Hydrator-3.3 for its multi function such as cleaning, activating the dormant dyestuff to move to the surface, relaxes the scratches and preconditioning the leather prior to fatliquoring.

Brushing the Hydrator-3.3 with a horsehair Brush-1 for a darkening appearance and cling wrapped to control evaporation helps intensify the scratches when dry.

Fatliquor-5.0 keeps the leather supple when dry and contributes intensify the color as well.

When the WaxEffect-8.6 dries, fine white wax crystal coats the leather and is activated with a heat blower or hot hair dryer to a natural waxy sheen.
