Vintage Vachetta leather is too soft? Lacks body
Hi
I'm trying again!
I'm currently trying to restore two vintage Louis Vuitton bags.
I am going to purchase Kit 4 for the first bag since it has water stains and dark unknown stains on the Vachetta portion.
According to what I have been reading I am starting with a degreaser 2.2 and ending up with Vachetta 2.8.
The second bag is a challenge the straps and fasteners are very soft.
They feel suede like on the bottom. How should I proceed? I'm thinking of using the Impregnator as a last resort?
Thanx

Same of a close-up pictures of the second bag cracking.
Thank you for your valuable time.
As requested here are pictures of the handles on the Alma.
My amateur eyes only see darkening and scratches. Your knowledgeable look would be appreciated.Attachment 8096
The next set are of the straps from the Cartouchierre.
There are cracks, stains and a very small amount of brass tarnish.Attachment 8097
From the previous photos sent the cracking near the hardware I would like to invisibly glue?
Your experienced response will verify which kit is best.
Thank you

The finish result in appearance - however this is the lightest new color and as it ages it darkens and any color from light to darker is possible by adding darkening coloring to the desired color appearance.

I will proceed as instructed.
