Burgundy Penny Loafers
This is a pair of deep burgundy penny loafers from Johnston & Murphy. They are faded in some sections. When taken to a shoe repair shop and much to my disillusionment, they sprayed them with a coating that now flakes off, but did not restore the color. (Client: Juan)

This coating will need to be removed first to see what was the cause of the “faded in some sections”, then restore holistically.
The first step is to remove it with Stripper-2.3. This stripper has a pH value of 2.3 that both removed the unwanted coating, it also controls the pH value of the leather from denaturing during the stripping process. A StrippingBrush-9 helps in the stripping process.
