I just bought this Decoro leather chair and my cat has already scratched it! I'm training her NOT to go near the chair (shaking a plastic water bottle with pennies inside when she gets close) but the damage is already done. I'm wondering if there is anyway to make the marks less noticeable - maybe a dark navy blue dye to match the chair that I can apply. Please see pictures of the chair and also the scratch marks.
Thanks for any suggestions!

Looks like pigmented leather!

If the leather has a natural smooth buttery-feel that lubricates it against friction rubs; the smart cat would want to avoid it using as a stretching exercise surface.

Without the paw pad having a steady grip first on the leather surface; stretching would be difficult, just like us doing exercise on a smooth surface would be risky of a fall.

Besides the smart cat would have claim the leather with its own body scent; a leather scent may also neutralize and reclaim back from the cat.

With such Protection-B+ application is sure a deterrent from future cat damages, in a few pass cases it works (maybe those cats were not that smart).

A dark navy blue pigment is sure an essential element to this repair follows with matching topcoat prior to the Protection-B+

But, we have to start with the repairs in this sequence:

1] All the stick out fibers has to be put back in place with leather Bond-3D assisted with the help of a dental prick, toothpick or a bamboo skewers.

2] Any surface protrusion that can be detected with our finger tips is even out with an iron over a white paper sheet.

3] Indentation is filled with leather Stucco-90 mixed with the color pigment to make the repair less contrasting in color.

It is easy when the color is the standard black.

We will discuss how best to get the color that matches your blue.

Thank you Roger Koh! Wow - thats a lot of products... maybe I'll just cut the cat's feet off. Kidding!! I read somewhere to trim the fibers and use a fine grit sandpaper and then add some coloring... Is that a good idea? Sand papering the leather sounds a bit scary.
Where would I get these products you have suggested?

Thanks again!

These products cover beyond the cat damage, that’s why it looks a lot.
So far we are just talking about the protection system that deters the cat from another exercise attempt, and the damage repairs.
You may opt the others out if you wish, but they are interconnected as a holistic system and sooner or later you will need them all.

■ Protection System
■ Routine Care System
■ Periodic Care System
■ Restorative Care System
■ Repair System
■ Spot Color Refinishing System

“I read somewhere to trim the fibers and use a fine grit sandpaper and then add some coloring... Is that a good idea? “

There are many ways to skin the cat . . . but results may still differ.

Trimming the Fibers:
When pull-out fibers are trim the void holes need fillers and the leather structure is no more homogenous and may develop micro creasing in the long run.
Rather, the fibers is push back in place with the help of leather Bond-3D to become part of the leather itself – it will never crack.

Sanding:
Sanding is best limited to the leather finishes, as the more it is sand the coarser the texture becomes; remember the other side of leather is suede.
Moreover, just see picture #2 above; the surface is not entire flat but grainy. Sanding it may smoothen out these areas out of sync with the rest of the un-sand surfaces.
