Yes I am interested in purchasing the product AP3.di (Auto pigmented leather) for my Lexus leather seats (parchment in color) which have become stained with blue denim dye transfer.
Hello Roger,
I just received my order of your Leather Doctor product this morning. The pictures are of the front seats of my Lexus. They do show some blue jeans dye transfer and it has been about 4 weeks since my last cleaning attempt with regular commercial automotive leather cleaner/conditioner (Maguire’s). Any helpful hints would be appreciated
Roland.

This is a quick reply:
Take the Prep-7.7 and make a drop on an isolated stain, let it sit for an hour, when you see the dyes run, blot it off with the towel and reapply another drop on the same location, let it sit for another 2 hours and check with repeat cycle until satisfaction.
Show pictures and I will go into more details from there.

Hi Roger,
I put the Prep-7.7 on a small portion of the passenger seat area (about 4 sq. in.) and went back after about 2 hours. I couldn't see any dye "running" but did wipe the area with a soft white cotton cloth. The dye did come off almost completely. I re-applied some more Prep-7.7 on the same area and left it overnight. This morning, I wiped it off again and a small dye residue came off and left the area nice and clean. I have not done any other treatment as I will now do the rest of the passenger seat surface tonight and leave it till morning. Is this OK or should I continue to do only small areas at a time?
Waiting for your reply,
Roland.

Roland,
Please show pictures of the result and I will advice further from there, the best way to do it!
Roger

Hi Roger,
Here is a picture as requested. The part of the seat cleaned is the small edge section which showed quite a bit of blue dye transfer.

Roland,

Use the foam brush and apply the entire section.

Avoiding the seams and the stitching holes as much as possible and let it dwell as before for towel blotting.

Thereafter the sticky residue is cleaned using Cleaner-3.8 follows with Rinse-3.0

You may want to extend the cleaning to the back seat.

When dry have a comparison if the luster is the same from the cushion seat and the back seat.

The difference may be due to the wearing of the topcoat that seal the color, and you have an option to re-topcoat it to strengthen the finish again.

Topcoat is Topcoat-72Matte with help of Leather Eraser-4 prior to application.

Otherwise, just go over with Protection-B+

What do you think?

Roger

Hi Roger,

Well, I've done all the steps you mentioned and now the seats are back to about 90% - 95% clean. I am satisfied with that and will continue to use the Cleaner-3.8, the Rinse-3.0 and the Protector-B+ regularly. The seats are exactly as the seat backs and the rear seats with the same sheen and feel. If anything else comes up I will contact you for more advice. In the meantime, I am going to contact my Lexus dealer and let them know about your product. I'm sure you will hear from them.

Roland.
